DA Mangaung puts the wheels in motion for a MONC against the Mayor

Issued by Johan Pretorius – Leader of the DA Mangaung Caucus
15 Sep 2022 in Press Statements

On Friday, 16 September, the DA Mangaung Caucus will brief the media on the motion of no confidence in the Mangaung Mayor submitted to the Council Speaker.

Since May 2022, when the previous motion of no confidence in the Mayor served in Council, service delivery is at an all-time low. The Mayor has made promises that by November 2022, Mangaung will not be recognisable. Quality basic services will be delivered, investors will be attracted and an environment for economic growth will be created.

None of these promises was realised, instead Mangaung Metro is heading in the other direction to total collapse. It is time for the Mayor to go, as he is solely responsible for the devastation in Mangaung.

The briefing will be presented by Cllr Johan Pretorius, Caucus leader, Cllr David Masoeu, Caucus chairperson, and Cllr Selme Pretorius, Caucus treasurer.

Details of the briefing are as follows:

Date: 16 September 2022

Time: 11:00

Venue: DA Provincial Head Office, 7 Barnes Street, Arboretum, Bloemfontein
