The Democratic Alliance (DA) will take immediate action by submitting a formal request to the relevant authorities, demanding an urgent plan to restore full functionality to the Koppies Traffic office in Ngwathe.

This office has been completely dysfunctional for the past ten months, causing severe disruptions to essential services such as licence renewals, roadworthiness testing, and traffic law enforcement.

As a result, residents face prolonged delays, road safety risks have escalated, and businesses relying on timely documentation suffer financial losses.

Despite repeated complaints from the public and key stakeholders, there has been little to no intervention to resolve these issues. The continued lack of service delivery is unacceptable and highlights serious inefficiencies, including staff shortages, system failures, and internal mismanagement.

The DA calls for immediate intervention to address these challenges, ensuring that residents receive the efficient and reliable traffic services they are entitled to.

We will not allow government inaction to further compromise public safety and economic stability. The DA will continue to hold authorities accountable until the department is fully operational.
