The Democratic Alliance in the Free State would like to congratulate the Democratic Alliance Student Organisation (DASO) at the University of the Free State (UFS) for being awarded Student Organisation of the Year for 2025 by the University.
This recognition follows a period of remarkable growth by DASO UFS, demonstrated through their success in the recent Student Representative Council (SRC) elections, where they secured two seats on the council.
The DASO FS branch has been actively assisting students with NSFAS-related challenges and other student financial aid matters, ensuring that no student is left behind and that hope is restored to our youth.
This award is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment of every DASO UFS member who continues to advocate for:
- An improved and inclusive learning environment;
- The safety and well-being of all students; and
- Equal opportunities for academic and personal growth.
We are proud of the leadership and integrity shown by DASO UFS in representing the values of the Democratic Alliance on campus and in the broader student community.
