The Democratic Alliance in the Free State is concerned for the safety of patients at State Healthcare Institutions after an unexpected fire broke out at National hospital over the weekend.
Whilst we applaud the rapid response of our Fire and Rescue, and Emergency services this incident leaves us and residents with the question whether this incident could have been prevented.
The DA will ask this of the Department and the Member of the Provincial Executive through questions in the Legislature.
We believe that the safety of the residents of the Free State should be a top priority for our government and will keep holding the provincial government to account. DA remains committed to ensuring that the residents of the Free State are given quality healthcare services and are protected when at their most vulnerable.
