– DA escalates SASSA service failures in Mantsopa.
– Vulnerable residents face delays and poor assistance.
– Long travel and waits increase hardship.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) will escalate the ongoing service delivery failures at SASSA in Mantsopa Local Municipality to the Provincial Department of Social Development and hold them accountable for ensuring that residents receive the support and services to which they are entitled.
The community of Mantsopa is experiencing serious challenges regarding services provided by SASSA. Many residents, especially the elderly, people with disabilities, and vulnerable families, are struggling to access social grant services due to delays, lack of communication, and limited assistance.
Community members often have to travel long distances, wait for extended periods, and return home without receiving the help they need. These difficulties place an additional financial and emotional burden on people who depend on social grants for their daily survival.
We call upon SASSA to improve its service delivery in Mantsopa Local Municipality by ensuring that community members receive timely assistance, clear communication, and fair access to all services. The needs of vulnerable residents must be treated as a priority.
The community requests urgent intervention to address these concerns and to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the support and services to which they are entitled.
