The Democratic Alliance has received an overwhelming response to our call for community members to report sewage spills affecting their homes in the Matjhabeng Local Municipality.
Today, we will lodge a complaint on behalf of about 42 more homes in the municipality that have been affected. There are, of course, many more cases to be investigated. Still, the sheer scale of this is indicative of the way in which the ANC has completely failed to govern and how they have deprived our communities of their dignity and basic human rights.
The DA will lodge the complaint with the South African Human Rights Commission today. However, we are adamant about getting into government after Wednesday, when these sewage spills and clean government will be a priority.
We encourage voters to help us stop the chaos and start service delivery by voting DA on 4 November.
