The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Metsimaholo thanks the Fezile Dabi District Municipality, particularly the Local Economic Development Department, for their unwavering commitment to empowering small businesses within our community.

At a time when the Free State province is grappling with high unemployment rates, the District provided essential tools and resources to 26 small businesses across all four local municipalities in the Fezile Dabi District, a beacon of hope in the local Municipalities. This initiative not only fosters entrepreneurship but also contributes to the region’s overall economic development.

Support was provided to several small businesses through the donation of essential equipment and tools. Hair salons received hair dryers and nail dryers, while garden services received lawn mowers and brush cutters. Agricultural businesses benefited from water tankers, spades, wheelbarrows, hosepipes, and a drip watering system. Car wash businesses received a high-pressure washer, maintenance companies received step ladders and hand tools, and catering services received warmers and cutlery.

This is a clear indication of the Municipality’s commitment to creating opportunities for up-and-coming businesses, ensuring they have the support they need to grow and improve.

It is truly inspiring to witness such acts of leadership and a genuine willingness to assist small enterprises.

Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we commend you for setting an exemplary standard in community support. Together, we can pave the way for a more prosperous future for all.
