The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Moqhaka will write to the municipal manager to prioritise the electrification of the section of Ward 10 that has been without power for almost 7 years.

It is unacceptable that residents continue to live in darkness while service delivery commitments are repeatedly ignored. Access to electricity is a basic service that directly affects safety, dignity, education, and the overall quality of life for families in this community.

The DA calls on the municipality to take immediate action by presenting a clear implementation plan, timelines, and budget allocation to restore electricity to the affected households. The community cannot continue to suffer due to persistent delays and poor service delivery.

The DA remains committed to holding the municipality accountable and ensuring that all Moqhaka residents receive the essential services they rightfully deserve. DA will not sit and wait while the dignity of our community is being compromised.
